Operator: OPS DEFEND LIMITED (trading as Ops Defend) (“we”, “us”).
1. About these terms
These terms apply to the public marketing website at opsdefend.co.uk (the “Site”). Separate Product / SaaS terms apply when you create an account or buy CeGrc.
2. Who we are
Ops Defend provides information about, and access to, a Cyber Essentials preparation product (CeGrc). We are not a Certification Body and do not issue Cyber Essentials certificates.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the Site for lawful business purposes. You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, servers, or related systems;
- misuse the Site (e.g. malware, scraping that harms availability, spam);
- use the Site in a way that is unlawful or infringes others’ rights.
4. Content and accuracy
Site content is general information only. It is not legal, security, or certification advice. We try to keep it accurate but do not warrant it is complete or up to date. Cyber Essentials requirements can change; always check NCSC / your Certification Body.
5. No certification guarantee
Nothing on the Site promises that using our services will result in Cyber Essentials certification, a particular assessment outcome, insurance, or regulatory compliance.
6. Intellectual property
Site content (text, branding, design, logos) is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse it commercially without permission, except as allowed by law (e.g. fair dealing).
7. Third-party links
Links to third parties (e.g. NCSC, Stripe, Certification Bodies) are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:
- the Site is provided “as is”;
- we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, and loss of profit, data, or business opportunity arising from Site use;
- nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be limited by law.
If you are a consumer (unlikely for this B2B Site), your statutory rights are unaffected.
9. Privacy
Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy notice.
10. Changes
We may change these terms by posting an updated version on the Site. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction (non-exclusive if you are a consumer entitled to otherwise).
